Public sector and defense agencies face constant pressure to meet evolving security and compliance requirements such as CMMC 2.0, often with limited staff and increasingly diverse environments. Manual approaches to compliance and system hardening are time‑consuming, error‑prone, and difficult to sustain at scale.
In collaboration with Carahsoft, this session will explore how infrastructure automation enables DoD organizations and aligned agencies (including DISA, Space Force, USAF, and MDA) to continuously enforce secure configurations, support CMMC 2.0 requirements, and remain audit‑ready over time. We’ll discuss practical approaches to system hardening, configuration drift management, and maintaining compliance across hybrid and legacy environments. We'll also show how Puppet helps teams automate policy enforcement and compliance reporting without slowing down operations.
