Chapter 2: From Experimentation to Autonomy: Where AI Actually Works
AI use in infrastructure is already mainstream. A majority (66%) of organizations report using AI somewhere in infrastructure workflows, including infrastructure-as-code validation, provisioning, drift detection, and compliance policy management. But broad adoption does not mean deep operational maturity. The more important distinction is not whether AI is present. It is how far organizations have progressed from assistance to autonomy.
